Hotel Café Cultura Quito

Café Cultura is located in the touristic centre of ecuadors capital Quito. It is a Colonial style hotel with 26 individually designed en-suite bedrooms, a café-bistro and a Cultura desk, accommodated within a beautifully restored colonial building

Hotels Description:

Café Cultura is a European style hotel with 26 individually designed rooms. About sixty years ago, the hotel was home to one of Quito's oldest families, after which it became the French Cultural Centre. The building was carefully restored over a period of four years, with special detail given to maintaining the unique characteristics of the original interior. Different artists have painted modern frescoes throughout the hotel, adding to its already unique style. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, with secluded seating areas for relaxing.
The hotel is located in the Mariscal and close to the Parque Ejido. It takes about 20 minutes from the airport to the hotel and about 15 minutes to get to the historical center.

Hotels Accommodations:

Each room features a private bathroom and has been individually decorated in keeping with the style of the house; some have fireplaces, one a sunken bath and one special suite has an exceptional bathroom with an antique bathtub. All rooms have telephone for national and international calls.

Ground Floor: These rooms are towards the back of the hotel, behind reception. Possibly the most original of all the rooms are found here, with delicate paintings and decoration.

Third Floor: The floor with the biggest story to tell. The roof of Cafe Cultura was severely damaged a few years ago by a freak hailstorm. The roof was completely reconstructed and rooms 18 to 24 were built here.

Garden: There are two rooms to be found in the front part of the garden to the right hand side of the hotel. These rooms are tremendously original. They feature a private wooden decked area in front of them, making them at-once part and yet separate from the garden.

Services:

On the ground floor you will find the reception area and cafe - bistro, together with the wood-panelled library completed with guidebooks, papers and magazines for your use.  Furthermore, you can find here two computers with internet access. Fires are lit in the three large stone fireplaces every night, along with an abundance of candles, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere, reminiscent of colonial life. Here you can relax in the comfortable leather armchairs, a glass of wine in your hand, basking in the warmth of a crackling wood fire. A luggage store area is permanently available for use whilst travelling in the country.
