Ecuador Haciendas

The Cotopaxi Region is one of the most famous and visited regions in Ecuador and is situated about 1.5 hours south from Quito. The Cotopaxi rises majestically above the Andean Cordilleras and is one of the most active volcanoes of Ecuador. The almost perfect cone shape is an identification sign which makes it world famous as a picture book volcano.

From the haciendas in this region you can discover the Cotopaxi National Park during a guided tour on foot, by bike, on horseback or by car. Here you can see the lagoon Limpiopungo as well as the former Inca ruins El Salitre from where you can have a wonderful view. Furthermore, you have the possibility to go to some of the Indio Markets in this region like the one in Saquisili or to go hiking at the Quilotoa Lagoon or the Illinizas.
