The Hacienda Cusin is a restored 17th-century Andean estate close to the Equatorial Line and about 90 minutes north of Quito and its airport. This elegant Ecuadorian hotel is 20 minutes south of the famous market town of Otavalo.

Cusin's terracotta-tiles, winding cobblestone path-ways, fountain courtyards, towers and perennial gardens nestle beneath a deep blue sky in a wide lake-valley. Ancient lakebed soil, cool nights and a predictable equatorial sun have conspired with avid gardeners to create ever-blooming perennial gardens that include belladonna, bougainvillea, agapantha, acanthus, foxgloves, orchids, palms, flora, which attract over 50 species of birds.

Accommodation:

The hacienda has 40 guestrooms, suites and garden cottages, each with a private bathroom, hair dryer and garden or mountain views. All rooms are individually decorated with selected fine handicrafts, woven bed-covers and antique writing desk. 20 guest rooms have a fireplace, 16 rooms with beamed ceilings and furnishings of antique reproduction beds and Andean crafts.

Services & Facilities:

Enjoy Cusin's Ecuadorian and International cuisine in a dining room with antique wall tapestries and chandeliers. You can play basketball, squash or volleyball or go on a horseback riding or mountain bike tour. Afterwards you can enjoy a massage if you like. The hacienda has also a game room with billiard, ping pong or dart. There is also a film library with over 300 movies.

Not only people live at this hacienda, it has also its animals like llamas, horses, peacocks, rabbits, guinea pigs, turkeys, geese and pigs.
