Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in La Paz
Today you will arrive in La Paz in Bolivia at an altitude of 3,500 m. You will be picked up from the airport and taken to the selected hotel. The rest of the day is free for acclimatisation. -/-/-
Day 02: La Paz - Copacabana - Sun Island
Early in the morning you will be taken to Copacabana Sanctuary where you will board the Catamaran Cruise Ship. A snack is served while you are sailing to Sun Island, the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire. Here you will visit the Inca Garden, steps and fountain and afterwards the Inti Wata Cultural Complex including the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centers, the Pachamama agricultural Inca terraces, a handicraft center, the Intica lounge and at the Manco Kapac look out the largest variety of Andean camelids. The Inti Wata Complex at Sun Island includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka Traditional vessel for a panoramic visit to the Pilkokaina Inca Palace. You will have buffet lunch on board, then you will be return by land transfer to La Paz city. B/L/-
Day 03: La Paz – Rurrenabaque
According to your flight time you will be taken to the airport in La Paz for your flight to Rurrenabaque which takes about 50 minutes. Upon arrival you will be taken from Rurenabaque airport to the Chalalan office by bus where you will proceed to fill in the forms to enter the Madidi National Park and receive information about your trip to the Ecolodge. Free afternoon to visit the town at the edge of the Beni River. Lodging B
Day 04: Rurrenabaque – Chalalan – Madidi National Park
Breakfast at the hotel. At 07:15 you will be taken to the river Beni to board a boat in order to get to the Chalalan Ecolodge (5½ hours) up the rivers Beni and Tuíchi. The boats are equipped with roof, comfortable seats, life jackets, raincoats and a first-aid kit. Box lunch on the way. At about 12:30 you will arrival to Chalalan´s port and after a 25 minute walk you get to the Ecolodge. Help is given for luggage. Welcome lunch and after a time to rest or swim in the lagoon, a short walk along the Paraba path towards the viewing point where you can see the beautiful landscape across the lagoon, mountains and Madidi rainforest. Return by canoe along the rivers leading to the Chalalan lagoon to observe a variety birds and monkeys. Theme: hardwood trees and wildlife. Dinner. Night hike to observe a variety of insects, tarantulas, amphibians, mice, nocturnal birds and monkeys. B/L/D
Day 05: Jungle Excursion
In the morning you will do a walk through the jungle on the theme paths to see and learn about the forest and the wildlife. Choose from: natural interpretation of the forest, natural history, ecological processes, medicinal plants and hardwood trees, animal behavior and bird watching. Return to the Ecolodge for lunch. Time to rest or swim in the lagoon. In the afternoon short walk along one of the paths. Choose from: medicinal and tropical plants, hardwood trees, bird and insect watching. Return to the lodge, later you can take a ride along the lagoon by canoe, learn from video sessions about the community and the Madidi National Park or be part of an afternoon of handicrafts. Traditional "dunucuabi" dinner of catfish wrapped in leaves or fish á la "tacuara". Traditional Quechua - Tacana night with music and dances from the San José de Uchupiamonas community. B/L/D
Day 06: Chalalan – Rurrenabaque – La Paz
Breakfast. Short walk to the River Tuíchi to take the boat back to Rurrenabaque. After 3 hours, you will arrive to Rurrenabaque. Transfer to airport and return to La Paz. Upon arrival you will be picked up and taken to your hotel. Then you will do a half day city tour of La Paz. Visit the famous Witch Doctor's Market and San Francisco Colonial Church. The tour continues to Plaza Murillo where the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the National Congress buildings are located. Then, you will visit the famous colonial street Jaen where interesting museums are clustered together, followed by a visit to the replica of the semi-subterranean temple of the Tiwanaku Culture. To change scenery the tour continues to the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto and La Florida. The tour ends with a visit to the unique Moon Valley, where you will have the opportunity to walk around, and visit a ceramic workshop with a demonstration of the art of pottery. B
NB The schedules can be changed as guests wish or because of the weather, flight delays, etc.
Day 07: international flight
According to your flight time you will be taken to the international airport in La Paz. B

Remarks
- The cruise and the program at the Lodge are shared services.
- Please note that the Madidi Program may vary depending on the weather conditions. During the rainy season it may not be possible to do this excursion (Rainy season: December to March)
- Please notice that on Mondays it is not possible to visit Museums of Jaen Street during the City Tours, because they are closed instead of this museum you will visit Museum of Typical Folklore instruments
