

Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Lima - City Tour
One of our colleagues fetches you at the airport and brings you to the Hotel San Agustin Executive, was you will have breakfast. In the afternoon you will make a city excursion through the colonial part of Lima to the Plaza Mayor, cathedrals, the governmental palace, the San Francisco church and its catacombs. On the way to the gold museum we drive through the modern city parts San Isidro and Miraflores. The gold museum is famous for its collection of Pre-Inca and Inca gold artefacts, jewellery and ceramics. Overnight stay in the Hotel San Agustin Executive.

Day 02: Travel Lima/Arequipa
After an early breakfast transfer to airport for first morning flight to Arequipa. Reception and transfer to Hotel Posada del Inca Arequipa. In the afternoon you will have a look at the city and you will visit the Santa Catalina convent, one of the most impressing colonial buildings of the country, which is especially known for the seclusion of its accommodations. The history of this unique city is revealed through the many colonial churches and buildings built out of volcanic rocks. Overnight stay in the Hotel Posada del Inca Arequipa.

Day 03: Travel Arequipa/Colca Canyon
Early departure in private vehicle to Colca valley. As soon as we left the city behind we slowly start the climb the highland Páramo (Puna) with a good view on the Misti and the surrounding volcano. On the plateaus there are good possibilities to observe small herds of Vicuñas, which are native in this impressive landscape with the smoking Volcano Sabancaya in the background. In the higher parts of the Colca valley near Chivay we reach the Colca Lodge in the late afternoon, where we will stay overnight. For relaxation we can take a bath in the hot springs.

Day 04: Colca Canyon/Arequipa Tour
Already early we leave to the natural vantage point "La Cruz del Condor" with a view over the deepest place of the world-famous Colca valley. From here we can observe perfectly the condors how they leave their nests to glide into the horizon over the warm up currents. In the afternoon we return to Arequipa after lunch. On this trip we come along the agricultural terraces, which originate from the Pre-Inca time and are still being used today by the farmers. Overnight accommodation in the Hotel Posada del Inca Arequipa.

Day 05: Travel Arequipa/Cusco
Transfer in the morning to the airport and flight to Cusco. Transfer to the Hotel Jose Antonio Cusco. In the afternoon city tour with a visit to the main plaza, the cathedral, the church Santo Domingo and the temple Korikancha as well as the surrounding ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.

Day 06: Tour Cusco/Maras Moray/Ollantaytambo
Departure in the morning to the sacred Valley to visit the spectacular round terraces of Moray, an old agricultural centre and holy city. Continuing our drive in the valley we reach the salt mines of Maras and the Ollantaytambo Fortress. In the small city Ollantaytambo we spend the night in the hotel "Pakaritampu". You can reach from here out the town and archaeological site by foot in only a couple of minutes. Today we will sleep at the Pakaritampu Hotel.

Day 07: Train Sta Ollanta/Machu-Picchu
Early in the morning we visit the ruins of Phuyupatamarca. The paved Inca trail winds from here in sharp curves down into the cloud forests to the ruins of Wiñay Wayna. Past Intipunku, "the gate of the sun", we reach eventually the magnificent citadel Machu Picchu, were we will stay the night and have dinner in the Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel.

Day 08: Tour Machu Picchu/Cusco
This morning you will make with a native nature guide the "Tour of the Orchids" (only between nov 15 and may15), other months will be provided a birdwatching walk or a Nature walk - because we would like to give you an understanding of this unique flora and faune there. In the afternoon we take the train back to Cusco, were we will arrive in the early evening. Overnight stay in the Hotel Jose Antonio Cusco.

Day 09: Flight Cusco/Manu (Fridays)
Transfer to the airport and flight in a small twin-engine plane to Boca Many. When the weather is good, we have a superb view on the snow-topped summit around Cusco, especially insbesondere Ausangate zur rechten und veronica zur linken, when we fly over the low pass to the jungle. After our landing on the Boca Manu landing strip we change our ways of transport and continue our trip in canoe with outboard motor, protected from the strong sun and occasional rain by a tent roof. The four-hour boat trip to Manu Lodge offers us already the first possibility to encounter with the diverse animal world from Manu. So we can see already here with a bit of luck capybaras, big black caimans or even discover a shy jaguar.

Day 10: Manu Jungle Excursion
The original lake, which borders to the Manu Lodge, gives shelter to big communities of the astonishing birds, monkeys and caimans. A giant otter family looks always once back with the lake by and only recently two young otters were brought to the world here. With some luck we can observe them while fishing and following consuming their prey at the landing stage. Although we are only on 15 - 20 meters distant from them, they tolerate our presence completely. All day long an active coming and going of the many kinds of birds, among them parrots, prevail falcons and the bizarre Hoatzin, which have its nests in a ring around the lake. With walks on the surrounding paths we will see over again large herds of apes, among them Squirrel apes and Kapuziner apes, which live here in groups of up to 70 animals. The Manu Lodge offers the largest road system in Manu with over 20 km of marked paths. These paths offer a view of the different habitats of the rain forest, of the Igapo, the flooded forests, up to "tierra firme" forest. Overnight accommodation in the lodge.

Day 11: Manu Jungle Excursion
Two observation towers are in the close environment of the Manu lodge and permits its visitors a view over the appearing endless numbers of the trees off to the snow-covered summits close to Cusco. The visit to the towers are particularly worthwhile in the morning-grey, if the rain forest awakens and with some luck a multiplicity of Primates can be observed and also birds with their start of the daily for fodder search. A boat trip is offered in the afternoon in a nearby parrot- and spiders area.

Day 12: Manu Jungle Excursion
Today you spend as well in the Manu National park. You can spend the day totally like you desire to scout another time the unique landscape or optional we can take you on a small excursion according to appointment. Overnight stay in the lodge!

Day 13: Manu Lodge/Boca Manu/Flight Cusco
The boat trip to Boca Many flight path offer a last opportunity to discover a tapir, capybara or a on the landing strip sunbathing jaguar. The plane brings us in the end from one of the last nearly totally intact nature reservations of the world back into civilisation. In the early afternoon arrival in Cusco and transfer to Hotel Jose Antonio Cusco.

Day 14: Cusco/Lima/Flight back
Transfer to the airport and flight to Lima. From Lima you will fly home with an international airline.
