.- Upon arrival a form has to be filled out which contains general information as well as the previous movements of the clients. This form will be handed out to the clients by the tour leader, in each hotel and also on the ship on the Galapagos Islands.
.- On all flights to Galapagos the clients will need a mask. We will provide a mask to the clients.
.- On all our round trips the tour leader will have an emergency kit with mask, antiseptic alcohol, plastic bags and paper towels. Furthermore, all hotels and ships will have the same kit. The mask and gloves will just be used if there is an apparent case of the virus.
.- If there is suspicion that one of the guests is sick, he/she will be isolated (in his/her room) as well as the person who is sharing the room with him/her. If they are in one of the cities, the client will be taken to the next hospital for examination.
.- On the Galapagos Islands the suspected patient will be examined in the ports of Santa Cruz or San Cristobal. As soon as there is a suspected case on board one of the ships the case has to be reported and isolated.
When they reach a port a doctor will come on board to examine the passenger. Afterwards the other passengers can leave the ship. A quick examination will be done (about 1 hour) and then it will be decided if the passenger can continue on their trip or has to leave the ship.
