Haciendas in the Ecuadorian Andean Highlands

The small town of Baños is about 3.5 hours from Quito. It is famous for its hot springs and the Basilica. This town is quite famous for tourists so here you can do a lot of different activities like mountain biking, rafting, take a tour to the waterfalls or go to the Tungurahua Volcano with a chiva.
Riobamba is about 4 hours from Quito. This town is always the starting point for your train adventure to the Nariz del Diablo (Devils Nose). The train starts from Riobamba, if the tracks are not in a good condition you can take a bus from here and get to Alausi where you will go on the 1.5 hours long drive with the train to the Devils Nose. You will also pass this town on your way to Cuenca.
