
Level of difficulty: Class III & IV
The Rio Toachi and the Rio Blanco are located on the western slopes of the Ecuadorian Andes and have beautiful subtropical forest waiting for you. The trip takes you white water rafting for two days down class 3 & 4 rapids with the chance to see river otters and many different kinds of palm trees and local flora. You have the option to camp or spend the night at a local hotel.
Intinerary:
Day 01: Quito - Santo Domingo
At 6:30 am we will depart from Quito and head down to Santo Domingo (approx. 2,5 hours) where we will prepare our equipment. After safety instructions are given by our captains we start our white water adventure, passing through pristine jungle canyons and exciting rapids. Lunch by the river. Overnight stay and dinner at a lodge in double rooms with all conveniences. -/L/D
Day 02: Santo Domingo - Quito
After breakfast we return to the river. Bigger rapids and waves are made for another thrilling day. At the end of this run we have lunch and then we head back to Quito. Arrival in Quito in the late afternoon. B/L/-

Transportation in comfortable, roomy chauffeured buses or Jeeps to and from the river, overnight accommodation at lodge, freshly prepared meals as mentioned above, knowledgeable multilingual guides who are highly trained professionals, with over 10 years of combined guiding experience throughout the Americas. All are certified in First Aid, CPR, and wilderness First Response and Repair Kits. Your safety and satisfaction are our first priorities. We promote ecological awareness through education.

The equipment is of the highest quality. Type V coast guard approved personal flotation devices, and modern self-bailing rafts add a significant margin of safety and comfort for our guests. Paddleboats are our standard craft, where everyone participates by paddling, but we also offer boats where guests can relax, enjoy the scenery and leave the rowing to the guide, please specify your preference upon reservation.
What to bring with you:
We suggest bringing a good jacket, long pants, a change of clothes and a towel are recommended for after the trip, mosquito repellent, sun cream, T-shirts, long light trousers, water bottles, binoculars, a light sleeping bag, rubber boots, sports sandals with a good fastening system are the optimal footwear.
