South America Round Trips

Argentina General information:
Argentina is after Brazil the second largest country in South America. It has a surface of 2.8 million qkm and is therefore only a little smaller than India. Argentina is characterized particularly by its large cultural variety and its six geographical regions.
Culturally, immigrants in Argentina make up most of the population. In previous times there were enlisted by the Unitarists. In the middle of the 1900´s mainly Italians, Basques, Welshmen, Englishmen and Ukrainians came to Argentina. Many of these sub-populations were able to keep their cultural identity until today. This makes the country even more interesting for visitors. Generally, Argentina is above all well known for the fact that they eat passionately meat, dance and love music.
Argentina is geographically divided into the following areas: Fire land, Patagonia and the sea-area, Pampa, Chaco, Mesopotamia and the northeast and the Andean, which are in the northwest.
On your journey you will experience two of the most beautiful regions of Argentina: the Pampa, which is the agricultural heart of Argentina and fire land, which consists mainly of a large island. This island is divided between Argentina and Chile. The uninhabited surfaces of the Pampa are covered with grass. On the other hand one finds also many large farms, on which grain is cultivated and cattle is held. In the south of fire land are mountains, which are partly covered with forests and glaciers. The north reminds of the quilts of Patagonia. Fire land has a mild climate all year around.
Due to its geographical and cultural variety, Argentina offers the possibilities for all kinds of travel: from cosy round trips up to extreme trekking or mountain tours. Discover this unique country with SURTREK Tour Operator and find yourself amazed at this exotic and beautiful nature!
