Peru is the symbol for everything that has to do with the mystical empires, which ever saw the light of the world and had their centre here in the Andes. The Inca Empire extended over the entire Andes chain. According to the legend the Incas had their hour of birth at the Titicaca Lake and created their capital in Cusco. From there they divided their kingdom into four parts: The Altiplano, the high lands, the jungle and the coastal desert. They called it TAHUANTINSUYO or "kingdom of the 4 regions".
Peru lies between Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile. From the Andes and from the Amazon jungle pulled through, with Ecuador in the north and the Pacific Ocean in the west, Peru is the third biggest country in South America, an ideal land to travel.
Peru has an enormous surface of 1.285.216 qkm and approximately 24 million inhabitants whose simplicity and spontaneity will inspire you. Besides that there are in Peru eighteen per cent of the environmentally protected areas of the world. It is the only country of South America with deserts, mountains over 6,000 meters and tropical jungle. a perfect country for adventure tours.
