The Galapagos Master

Having undergone a complete interior refit to the highest luxury standards, the 32-meter M/V Galapagos Master (formerly christened the “Deep Blue,” built in 2002) is slated to launch in May 2015.

The M/V Galapagos Master will accommodate a total of 18 divers on each liveaboard trip, maximizing safety and comfort for all guests on board! Offering both 7-night and 10-night dive trips, each cruise will spend a minimum of three (3) days around Darwin and Wolf Islands, as well as offering land excursions during the itinerary.

The vessel features nine (9) air-conditioned cabins spread across three decks, with each cabin offering stunning views of the Galapagos archipelago. Each cabin has its own private en-suite bathroom with hot water, in-cabin entertainment and ample storage room for all personal belongings.

Adding to the convenience and flexibility, the ship’s cabins can be used either as a twin or double-bedded rooms.

The communal areas available to guests include a spacious indoor lounge on the middle deck. Relax and unwind from your day's diving while watching your latest underwater shots or your favorite movie on the flat screen television.

A tantalizing array of mouth-watering meals is served up in the indoor dining area, which is complimented by the adjacent cocktail bar.

Photographers can take full advantage of the indoor camera set-up station, which includes multiple charging points (US round pin plug). Additional storage drawers to the aft of the vessel mean that even photography charter groups will have no problem finding enough space for their equipment!

The dive equipment set up is found on the aft deck of the lower level, while individual set up areas come with under-bench storage for divers’ personal items. Rinse tanks are conveniently located for washing dive equipment and camera gear, and there are two (2) shower heads for those wanting a quick post-dive rinse. An additional two (2) deck heads are situated on the starboard side of the boat, just in front of the salon entrance.

For those who enjoy to relax in the sun there is the top level sun-deck or upper level bow area with additional cushioned loungers provided for your comfort. Guests are free to take advantage of the gangways on both the port and starboard sides to walk around the yacht or visit the Captain in his bridge on the upper deck.

The crew and staff consist of 11 crew members, including 2 dive masters/naturalist guides, while the language spoken on board the yacht are English and Spanish.

The steel vessel is steadier than most due to the fact that it has been designed to be lower to aid stability and speed. The boat has an official license to operate and organize diving activities in the Galapagos, issued by the Ecuadorian government and the National Institute of the Galapagos, ensuring you that they have passed all the safety tests as well as complying with the strict environmental rules of the park. With all the latest safety devices — GPS, VHF radios, satellite communication, two life rafts, emergency oxygen and AED — you will know you are travelling in total protection and safety.
