Fancy a “Pirates of the Caribbean” type experience? With almost 1,000 square meters of canvas, the Mary Anne sailing vessel (S/V) is one of the best options for sailboat lovers.
Launched in 1997, this elegant 3-mast barquentine schooner — the only of its kind in the archipelago — is the only truly suitable way to journey these islands made famous by Charles Darwin.
A large and truly romantic sailing ship, the 216-foot (66-meter) Mary Anne glides majestically through the islands under full sail. Navigating with the wind to your back, you’ll delight traveling without the sound of engines, and with dolphins and whales more likely to swim alongside. Plus, you’ll find that due to its steel hull, tall masts and deep draft, the Mary Anne is one of the most stable vessels sailing the waters of the archipelago.
With spacious decks, experienced crewmembers and passionate owners, the S/S Mary Anne accommodates up to 24 guests and was specially designed with safe, sound and environmental-friendly cruising in mind.
Accommodations are located on the Cabin Deck, where each cabin features its own private bathrooms with hot water.
The vessel features a wood-paneled, comfortable lounge area with a cozy bar and ample sun decks. The spacious Main and Sun decks are comfortable places to have a drink in the lounge, read a book in the library or simply relax in a sun chair while enjoying the view. Both decks are ideal places for marine and wildlife observation.
With a nine-member crew, plus a Galapagos Naturalist Guide on board, we assure you a high-end educational cruise experience with many interesting wildlife encounters.
On a Galapagos cruise on board the Mary Anne, you’ll find that thrilling sailing, simple comforts, and delicious meals combine with amazing up-close wildlife experiences. Talented naturalist guides will bring you into intimate contact with the unique creatures and ecosystems of the Galapagos. Spend time ashore hiking among albatross, kayaking with marine iguanas, snorkeling with sea lions, on zodiac rides to remote ecosystems …or perhaps simply relaxing on a crescent white-sand beach.
“Everything went off without a hitch. Accomodation was just what we wanted. Clean, great location and within our budget. The dive master was great. ”
