Grace Yacht

What could be more romantic than taking a cruise through the Galapagos Islands on the very ship Aristotle Onassis gifted to Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco as a wedding present in 1956?

Named after its late and very glamorous owner, the Grace motor yacht has had many incarnations, including a spell as a WWII Royal Navy warship before it came to the Galapagos Islands.

As her name suggests, the Grace motor yacht is the essence of style and elegance, and has retained a somewhat regal air. Built in the roaring 20s, the Grace has the feel of a classic “gentleman’s yacht” and epitomizes the Golden Age of sea travel.

This 18-passenger luxury cruiser offers nine (9) cabins that consist of two (2) Master Suites and two (2) Twin Suites on the “Albert” (bridge) desk, as well as five (5) Premium Staterooms on the “Carolina” deck. Each suite and stateroom has a private bathroom, individual air-conditioning controls, a safe, telephone and plenty of storage space for clothing and luggage. All of the private bathrooms are equipped with hair dryers, amenities and ample space for storing toiletries.

The Grace motor yacht features a main salon equipped with a bar, TV/Video system and stereo system. The sundeck has a bar as well as plenty of space for you to enjoy the open air. Guests can also relax on the outer corridor and at the front stern of the boat, where the Jacuzzi, the original 1927 wheel and the sun chairs are located.

Passengers can choose to eat in the interior dining room or outside in the al fresco dining area on the sun deck, while the ship’s wine cellar offers a wide variety of great wines. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style, and dinner is served either in the interior dining room or in the open-air dining area. (Note: Special menus like lacto-ovo vegetarian meals, etc. can be catered to upon request. Special children’s menus also available during the Grace’s family oriented cruises.)

The crew of the Grace motor yacht prides itself on the personalized service, as they offer one of the highest tour-guide-to-client ratios in the islands.

Specifically organized family departures are a specialty of cruises on board the Grace, given the ship’s child-friendly guides, as are meals and activities that ensure younger guests get the most out of their Galapagos Island experience.
