Cerro Blanco Protected Forest

Delve into the wildlife-rich Cerro Blanco, a pristine dry forest just 10 miles from Guayaquil with a landscape dominated by towering ceiba trees that shelter an array of birds. The area is one of the top places to go bird-watching in Ecuador, thanks to 211 bird species, 22 of which are endemic, including the emblematic Green Macaw which symbolizes the conservation initiatives of the region. As well as the huge variety of birds that thrive here, you’ll have the chance to see mammals like the Jaguar, Ocelot, Howler Money, Kinkajou and many more in their natural habitat with the help of an expert guide, before rounding things off with a visit to the rescue center and organic farm.

“The trip to the Galapagos was really fantastic! Although it was quite short, the trip itinerary made time for us to do quite a lot of things. Everything went very smoothly, too.”Maggie Clark
