On this honeymoon trip of a lifetime, the two of you can explore the sensual tango of Buenos Aires, get a taste of Mendoza wine country, marvel at the vast Perito Moreno Glacier, and put the Niagara Falls to shame by visiting the 300 cascades of the Argentine and Brazilian sides of Iguazu Falls. Enjoy your honeymoon in style! While in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires, you can explore traditional European architecture, experience cobbled streets lined with rustic outdoor cafes, venture into the colorful San Telmo and Recoleta neighborhoods, and enjoy a traditional tango dinner-show. In Mendoza, you will be introduced to luxurious wineries while accompanied by an expert sommelier who will show you all the fine points of a good Malbec. From there it will be off to the Patagonian city of El Calafate, your gateway to one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in Argentina: the gargantuan Perito Moreno Glacier. You will then travel to the world’s southernmost city, Ushuaia, where days of trekking, canoeing, sailing and sightseeing await you in this paradise of nature before returning to the big city beat of Buenos Aries. After two weeks of romance and adventure, you can then return home with great memories on which to begin building your lives together.
“I was very happy in every way with your booking and Cuyabeno Lodge. It surpassed my expectations in every way. No hitches with flights and transportation. The lodge was beautiful. The staff was professional and friendly.”
AM: Described as the “Paris of South America,” Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, though this capital city shows off plenty of its own culture! Upon your arrival in Buenos Aires, the two of you will be welcomed at the airport and privately driven to your hotel.
PM: Following lunch, you will have the remainder of the day free to begin exploring this vibrant and romantic city on your own – from its elegant historic neighborhoods to the cafe culture of laid back Buenos Aires.
AM: In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel for a fuller city tour of Buenos Aires. This will first take you to the historical and political center of the city, San Telmo, with its characteristic cobblestone streets. From there, you will find that the La Boca district is where Buenos Aires turns colorful, and tango is ever present. We will then proceed to the chic and aristocratic Recoleta area, where expansive palaces remind us that Buenos Aires was indeed once the “Paris of the South.”
PM: In the evening, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven (shared service) to one of Buenos Aires’ most emblematic cultural highlights: a tango dinner-show. Here, you will be treated to a spectacular demonstration of the finest national dancing, accompanied by delectable Argentinian cuisine …in addition to all the Malbec wine you wish. You will be driven back to your hotel at the end of the evening.
AM: This morning you will be driven (private service) to the airport to catch your flight to Mendoza. This city is in Argentina’s principal wine region, where you will also find impressive mountains (such as Aconcagua, a world-known summit to most climbers), as well as outdoor sports such as adventure rafting, and breathtaking landscapes. Upon your arrival at the Mendoza airport, you will be picked up from the airport and taken (private transfer) to your selected hotel in Chacras de Coria. Situated 22 km (13 miles) from the airport, Chacras de Coria is a small town nestled in the north of Mendoza Province. In this area you will discover a concentration of wineries open to tourism, in addition to a number of museums and other historical sites.
AM: Today you will experience Argentine wine and learn all about it – from how it’s produced, which grapes are grown, and how the industry has developed in this country. Plus, you will have a chance to sample these wines and decide which one is your favorite! You will be picked up from your hotel (semi-private service) and driven to the local vineyards accompanied by a specialized guide. You will be able to visit three different wineries during this 6-hour excursion. With semi-private service, you will be among a small group of people (a maximum of 8), which will allow you a more intimate experience as you explore the Luján de Cuyo region. Well-known as the “cradle of Malbec,” this area possesses centuries-old vineyards at the base of the imposing Andes Mountains. The proposed wineries for visiting are different depending on the season, since not all wineries are open to public year round.
PM: At around lunch time, we will dine at one of the best restaurants in town, one with an excellent five-course menu that combines superb food with extraordinary wines and a scenic view of the Andes.
AM: This morning you will be driven to the local airport for your flight to the Patagonian city of El Calafate. Located on the border of Lago Argentino (Argentina’s largest lake), El Calafate is considered the region’s “glacier capital,” and it’s also the gateway to any visit to the internationally recognized Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the only glaciers in the world that is still advancing. Upon landing, you will be driven from the airport to your selected accommodations (private service).
PM: After lunch, the two of you will have the rest of the day free to relax or explore the areas around the town together. You may even want to make the 1 km. walk out to Laguna Nimez Lake for a romantic Patagonian sunset.
AM: After an early breakfast, you will head out on a full-day’s excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier (private service) in Los Glaciers National Park. The glacier is a UNESCO “World Heritage Site,” since 1981, and it remains one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in Argentina. During this one-hour tour, you will have a chance to enjoy stunning views of the glacier from the nearby walking trail and viewing platforms. In addition, your bilingual guide will provide you with all the information you could ever want concerning the glacier.
PM: Later, you will also enjoy the Perito Moreno Glacier boat cruise (included in your package), which will take you close enough to fully appreciate the glacier’s 80-meter-high ice walls. You will then be driven back to your hotel in El Calafate in the early evening.
AM: This morning, the two of you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia, the southernmost city of the word. Surrounded by mountains and facing the Beagle Chanel, this is a dramatic place that is difficult to forget. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and driven (shared service) to your hotel.
PM: The rest of the day you will be free to share and explore the city on your own. You may want to sample some of the delicious fresh seafood served here, or learn about the region’s history at the Prisoners’ Museum.
AM: After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel (shared service) and driven to Tierra del Fuego National Park. Upon reaching Ensenada Bay, you will be able to enjoy the view over Beagle Channel before starting our trek along the coast. We will cover six kilometers of wild trail, which will allow you to observe the native plant life and animal of the channel, as well as the opportunity to discover ancient remains left the areas indigenous people, the Yamanas. After about three hours of hiking, we will reach Roca Lake, where a full picnic lunch will be waiting for you.
PM: After our meal, we will start canoeing down the Lapataia River, which will take you to Lapataia Bay on the Beagle Channel, precisely where the Pan-American Highway and National Route #3 come to an end. We will then return to Ushuaia.
AM: This morning, after making our way to the tourist pier, we will embark on a boat excursion across the famous Beagle Channel. On the way, you will have panoramic views of Ushuaia Bay, as well as be able to witness the area’s diverse marine wildlife, such as cormorants and fur seals on De los Lobos and De los Pajaros Islands. On one of the Bridges Isles, you can explore the island for concheros (giant shells) and enjoy the views of both Chile and Argentina. You will also have a chance to see the famous Les Eclaireurs lighthouse while sampling Argentina’s favorite drink: Mate.
PM: This afternoon, the two of you will be driven (shared service) to the local airport for your return flight to Buenos Aires, where you will spend the night.
AM: This morning, you will be picked up from your Buenos Aires hotel and driven (private service) to the domestic airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu – a destination that puts the Niagara Falls to shame. The little and relaxing town is the gateway to your visit to the astonishing Iguazu Falls. This site, possessing up to 300 cascades, was recently declared one of the “New Seven Natural Wonders of the World,” making it a must-see destination for any traveler visiting Argentina.
PM: Upon your arrival in the town of Iguazu, you will be met at the airport and driven (private service) to your hotel. You will have the afternoon free to relax and enjoy each other’s company while in this jungle setting in a tropical climate.
AM: After breakfast you will head out on a private, full-day tour to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls, where you will have intimate views of this unforgettable section of the Iguazu River. An experienced guide will show you the hidden gems of this unique national park and will take you off the beaten path to show you the best views. Lower and upper walkways permit up close and personal experiences with this magnificent spectacle of nature. Trails through the 210 square mile reserve provide visitors with various views of the falls, especially the largest one: Devil's Throat. The ecological train ride is included in the tour; note, though, that on this boat trip there’s a 100% chance that you’ll get wet, as the falls provide a refreshing “natural shower.” Therefore, be sure to bring along some extra clothes if you want to go on this excursion. (There are also other optional excursions that you can take for an additional cost; these include the “Gran Aventura” and the shorter “Aventura Nautica,” which are boat trips right up to the base of the falls.)
PM: You will be taken back to your hotel in the late afternoon, where you can relax and unwind after this full day of adventure and before sitting down to dinner.
AM: After breakfast, the two of you can enjoy a private, half-day excursion to the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. This is where you can delight in the vast panoramic views of the falls, as this location allows you to take them in in their entirety.
PM: This afternoon, you will be driven (private service) to the airport for your return flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival in the Argentine capital, you will be met and driven (private service) to your hotel.
AM/PM: Today the two of you will be free to explore the city at your own leisure. (You might even want to enjoy any of the available Optional Tours; we recommend a day trip to an Estancia [ranch], which are usually located outside the capital city; or a visit to El Tigre for a look at the only existing delta in the world that flows into a river.)
AM: This morning, you will be driven (private service) to Buenos Aires’ international airport for your flight home.

“I enjoyed the scenery and the exotic wildlife on the islands very much. The airport transfers in both directions went smoothly and the service on board was very good.”
